This is a portion of the Natural Health Products Ingredients Database, maintained by Health Canada. These monographs cover single ingredients commonly used in herbal preparations; single ingredients includes chemical compounds and plants. Each monograph includes a description of how each herb is prepared for administration and used, and cites literature to aid in further exploration of the herbal product. It also includes product monographs and abbreviated labeling standards for a product or ingredient. The site is available in French.
